Seville travel guide 3 days
Seville: Three Days in Spain's Most Passionate City
Seville operates at a different frequency from most European cities. The architecture is more theatrical, the food is better, the evenings are longer, and the flamenco is real — not a performance for tourists but a living cultural tradition.
Getting There
Seville is served by its own airport (SVQ) with Discovia transfer service. Alternatively, the high-speed AVE train from Madrid takes 2.5 hours — book through Discovia's multi-modal booking and add your Seville transfer at the other end.
Day One: The Alcázar and the Cathedral
The Royal Alcázar of Seville is the finest working royal palace in Europe and one of the most extraordinary buildings on the continent. Book the first entry slot to avoid queues. The adjacent Gothic Cathedral — the largest in the world — and the Giralda tower are best visited on the same morning.
Day Two: Triana and Tapas
Cross the river to Triana — Seville's most characterful neighbourhood and the historical birthplace of flamenco. The Triana market is outstanding. For tapas, the streets around Plaza de la Alfalfa in the centre offer some of Spain's finest small plates.
Day Three: Flamenco and Departure
Book a morning Discovia Ride & Guide through the Barrio Santa Cruz — Seville's old Jewish quarter — before your evening flamenco show. The Casa de la Memoria offers an intimate, authentic performance in a 15th-century palace. Next-day departure via Discovia transfer back to SVQ airport.
